The Electronic Incident Board (EIB), is the SMCS component designed to enable the safety officers to effectively manage emergencies on board.
Using graphical objects which operators can position or draw on the General Arrangement Plan, EIB allows to plot events, emergency actions, support teams position and more.
- drag and drop Situation/Emergency Icons, locating graphically an emergency or teams involved in safety operations.
- graphic tools to add “labels”, “notes”, “boundary cooling”, or free drawing to enhance specific situations.
- all graphical elements are visible and manageable from all SMCS workstations, realizing a shared “emergency whiteboard”.
